“A WOMAN is a property; a righteous WOMAN is the best property…” (Sunaan ibn Majah, 3. 1855)


Ibn Majah gives status of property women . Property is subject sale and it can not be given rights equal to men . Property is only for the comfort of its occupants that provide only necessary maintenance to it . It really supports the version that extremists have in their theory about the status of women .

It is authentic that women can not be Judge in Hadood cases according to four schools of Sunni thoughts. Being a student of law I went throught this. It seems baseless to stand women on a status that is even close to the status of a Muslim male .

Please come up with precise arguments instead of beating about the bushes.

What you posted is similar to the thinkings of anti Muslim minds as quoted by them in their anti Islamic websites. Are you trying to justify these minds? Or what do you want to tell/prove here??

what about the Ahdits and verses of the Holy Quran that allow men to chide women ? should we deny these? Is there contradiction between different different Ahdits and verses of the Holy Quran ? I want to conclude the matter .
AHDITS AND verses quoted by anti.Islamic forces ought to be answered . Should we deny the verses of holy quran that allow men to chide women ?
If yes, I am agree with you . Let us probe the matter . we should not shut our eyes to certain Islamic injunctions . This is how we can convince those who do not believe Islam .

Read my post again to know under what circumstances Islam allows man to beat woman and what kind of beating it really is. Islam does not allow man to strike woman on face.

@farah zafar

I am talking about relative status of a man and women . Man seems to be superior to woman . In modern West their is a sense of equality b/w man and women . We are not talking about old practices .

@Last Island .

So man is allowed to beat women in certain matters. On the other hand women are not allowed to manhandle men . Thus man is superior to women . Thats what I wanted to find out.

Yes man is superior to woman.Is baat k liye itni posts zaya keen ap ne.wesay he keh detay.Hm mantay hain bhai.He is superior to woman but he is not allowed to behave with her as she is a slave or a disgusting creature.

Old practices k sath ap ko kuch ahadees aur ayats b nazer aa e rahi hon gi.ap ko ye aitraz b tha.
