Does Islam allow us to use nuclear weapons against other nations? Please answer this keeping in mind the Islamic point of view of war.

In my own limited point of view, Islam is the best religion which cares for Humanity in the very best way it deserves, and a humanitarian approach negates the theory of using weapons of mass destruction on sites where innocent people live. In Islam, we have a history of conqurence of Makkah, when our beloved Prophet Muhammad(SAW) proclaimed a general forgiveness to all the mushrikins and kuffaar(including the assasinators of his uncle). Those are the standards set for us. On the other hand, for limitizing the advancement of the enemy, we have to make ourselves competable.So, i think that it is not a bad idea to develop weapons, but it is, when u use it on innocent people. In the end, the simple notion is there "Live and let live".

i agree with yasir.but now point in time we need to be aware of our real enemies.
never under estimate them.and dont forget that islam is a religion of peace and doesnt allow unnecessary bloodshed .but we must have a power to defend ourself.
now being a nuclear country is not a sign of security e.g IRAN.
we need intelligent tactics to our advantage rather than a war.
nuclear weapons must not be used, but nuclear energy can be used for benefit of poeple.
coz the horribles of nuclear can not be denied.

Agreed to afrms. We need to know who is our eal enemy and how to fight it. The only thing i could find is the social evil which has been the fact in the driving seat to drive us back towards slavery. We are mentally dominated by the west and as for pakistan, we never care about it when we are bribing, getting things done by our social resources and things like these. Our patriotism is confined to our discussions and cricket matches etc. We have to build a strong national character, by this only, we can advance technologically, economically and in the other areas as well.

I believe that Islam does not allows us to be the first to start a war/nuclear war. But we should respond the enemies when they attack us. So it is good to have a secure nuclear weapon but we need to use it at appropriate time. Islam allows us to save our souls.
