Pakistani politics is very unpredictable, so it's very early to predict anything as we are emotional people, but even then in my opinion, Musharraf will not be able to win the hearts and minds of people. Some analysts are saying that he'll join PTI,but if this is true Imran Khan will do a blunder, What so ever the consequences will be it will be a unique and significant move and it will bring a new change in Pakistani politics,

History tells us that a retired general has no place in pakistani politics, but inspite of that uncle Mush is seeking a place for him, which will be unique in pakistani history. Although, he did well during his stay in power but toppling a legitimate government will always be a black spot on his personality. So his entering in the arena will have not much impact on Pakistani Politics.

According to my understanding of Musharraf and his allies if he has decided to come it means he knows that someone is going to help him in Pakistan to sail smoothly. this is the game of establishment and they are trying to change the regime as early as possible. so, there might be some scene on his arrival but i know it would be definitely a well scripted and well acted drama and nothing else. he will come, contest and win .

JRead the reality of APML jalsa, its published on Dawn.com "While most people had come from the interior of Sindh by public transport to reach a ground near the Quaid’s mausoleum to listen to the former president of Pakistan speak via a satellite link, people from middle class and more affluent areas of the city were hard to find.
A few private cars were seen parked near the ground though a number of minibuses, coaches and buses were parked on the adjoining roads of Mazar-i-Quaid and Shahrah-i-Quaideen. APML banners having pictures of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Mr Musharraf as well as those inscribed with a price comparison of basic commodities in the years 2008 and 2011 were displayed at the venue. A majority of the participants in the public meeting had come from Sujawal and Mirpurkhas. Most of them were wearing caps inscribed with the name of Sardar Ghulam Mustafa Khaskheli. “Khaskheli sahib has sent us to Karachi for the jalsa,” Allah Dino, 35, who had come from Sujawal to attend the event, told Dawn. Holding green party flags, a group of residents had come to the venue from Landhi in a Metro bus. However, they were not forthcoming in sharing information with Dawn. They only said they had come to attend the jalsa. Also people belonging to the Bengali-speaking community in the city were seen in the ground as some of them returning from a rally held earlier during the day on M.A. Jinnah Road decided to attend the APML event. Some students of a nearby religious seminary, situated along Jamshed Road, were found keenly watching the proceedings though they did not enter the ground."

Well said by Call of Change.
A drama is going to be staged in Karachi at the end of this month. The directors of the drama are trying to open another front for the current regime to bring it at their own term, i e, election in 2012.

Do we realize that under the Discussion section, nobody ever initiates an 'international' topic, apart from the occasional WoT of course. Does anyone realize that in the interview part of most exams, a major portion is from economy of Pakistan in particular, and world in general? That they focus alot on international events? All we talk about is Pakistan's politics which comprises 30% of the questions asked in the interview and perhaps a few papers in the written. Pakistani politics can only be stretched for so long. Then it gets monotonous. How many times has the memo scandal been addresses under various threads here?
Come on guys. Theres so much more happening around the world that the examiner knows abt and WILL ask when the time comes. You dont wanna be caught off guard, trust me. For instance, whats the problem right now in Nigeria or South Sudan? Whats the politics like in Eastern Europe and Russia at the moment? Or post-spring Middle East? Whats India doing with far-eastern neighbors for now? 6 out of 10 of those reading this wont have an idea longer than a single line. Diversify. |
