SHERYAR BALOCH is on a distinguished road
Angry Another psychological deprivation for Balochistan

The Federal Government of Pakistan through the consent of Federal Cabinet here on Wednesday 20th May, 2009 has issued notification regarding fixation of 5% Minoroties quota in Government Jobs. It is a very good step for the well-being of Minorities in our country Pakistan, as these are also our brothers and sisters and must have full freedom and right in true sense in accordance with the basic Fundamental Rights of Constitution, Objective Resolution,in every walk of life under fullfillment of Quaid's Dream pertaining to Rights of Minorites.

On the other hand, if we analyse the 6% or 6.3% Balochistan Quota in Government jobs then if I am taking it very pesimistically and negatively then I want to add here that this is another blow to people of Balochistan as they will now have the same equal number of prioroties as the Minorities are to be enjoyed in future, which reflects that Balochistan and the Minorites in pakistan have equal rights. Because, now almost the same number of people shall be granted jobs e.t.c. in country equal to people of Balochistan.

So, the Province which have already burning since very long ago in the fire of discrimination and deprivation, the province that unfortunately covers 44% area of whole country, the province that is remote today, that was remote province in past and seems to be again remote province in future, despite of many sacrifices, is now have equal importance in the eyes of Government as the Minorites of Pkistan would be enjoying now onward.

From head of the crown to the soul of the foot, I may welcome the readers that just think very critically that either the weightage of People of Balochistan and Minorites of Pakistan is same in Pakistan or not, do you think it would add more fuel to the crises in Balochistan when the youth and literate man of Balochistan will think that he is to be having a "ALMOST" an equal quota in Pakistan as of Christanis, Hindus,e.t.c.

According to my approach, the Government should go for an increase in Balochistan Quota in order to remove another cause of serious psychological deprivation and must realize that we the people of Balochistan does not have equality with the Minorities of Pakistan, we are not a Minority but we are a Province and we possess a very important geo-policital importance regarding our 44% area of Province and our Natural Resources. The histrocial step regarding the fixation of 5% Minorities Quota is very good initiative, and must have been taken since very long ago, but I hope the Minorities of Pakistan, our Brothers and Sisters should welcome this step of Government.

LONG LIVE PAKISTAN.

SHERYAR

Yes I agree with you SHERYAR BALOCH. At this time It was more important to increase the reasonable share of Balochistan in jobs .We are proud of us that we dont think like indians .
But interprovincial and province_centre harmony should be the priority of govt policies.

Cool Psychological Depravation

Yes, you are absolutely right. Balouchistan has been paying a very heavy price, for the sin unknown. Being a nationalist is no way a crime. like sindh province, its share in the nFC quota too is insufficient despite its georgaphical importance, and the gas resources The quota must be increased. this civilian government should struggle for interprovincial harmony and should distribute the NFC reasonably. please read yesterday's letter coloumn in Dawn. Thanks!!!

I agree with all. N just a small comment tat if central govt considers and treat Balochistan as minority, then it should reserve 10% quota for Balochistan as population of Balochistan is doubled to minorities .. Secondly there is need to raise voice through advocacy.

Default Sense of deprivation

I m 200 percent agree with sheryar baloch.that the quota of balochistan must be increased in fedral jobs.ministry of defence has conduced exam 4 the post of AD.only two seats have been allocated 4 balochistn out of 50 seats.it must be increased to 8 to 10 seats.

@Zaheer

Yes, brother I agree with you as you have interpret the enviornment of Quetta City. I simple words we can say that it is not Quetta of pakitan but it is more likely to be Sri-Nagar of Kashmir. At all the major roads and places we see army posts and heavily armed personnals.

Moreover, I myself looking forward that this issue is going to be discussed on the floor of Parliament very soon by any Natianalist or talented MNA from Balochistan.

Well thanx to all aforementioned members for positive respone.

Default job Quota for Balochistan Province

Dear friends, I am slightly disagree with you people as I firmly believe that jobs must be for those who deserve for. However, I also warmly welcome these recommendations done by the central cabinet of Pakistan as such 5% quota for minorities and 6% for those people who keep Balochistani domicile. I may consider that this is a best step taken by the crown towards inter provincialism and harmony as it makes a sort of guarantee for them to be a part of this system, however, they must work hard to get more jobs rather than to await for further quota system fixed by the government.

In sum, they must struggle for open merit to be a civil servant of Pakistan.

I hope, you may disagree, but this is what I fairly think.

Hasan
