And what do they mean by "one examiner for one subject"
Does that mean one person has to check all the answer sheets of one subject!
If so, their policy is terribly wrong. Aik he bandey pr stress daal deyn gey itna tou iska result candidate becharey ko dekhna parey ga!

Instead of over burdening one person, they must set a standard about how to evaluate the paper. And increase the number of paper checkers and make sure all those paper checkers follow that same standard.

@Raz
sir i have mentioned in my post clearly 'till date'. still i don't believe but when an official said it so clearly, there is no point of resisting. and role of examiner marking is seen in this exam. many brilliant rather the best aspirants failed to score. many examples are there.
even in my post http://www.cssforum.com.pk/197491-post8.html i have mentioned the same thing 'THE EXAMINER' as main factor in scoring high or low.

I was wrong :)
and i got the punishment for that wrong. :(
Academies are right and they must celebrate the fact that their theory of high and low scoring subjects has been verified yesterday. :bow

If the theory of Low-scoring and high-scoring subjects is true, then why all the people opting the High-scoring objects do not get allocation???
its all about confusion, when a candidate gets confused about his subject selection he can not do justice with that subject, and hence we say its low scoring or that was high scoring.
There comes the Luck-factor.
jesy hum sab log bachpan main dua mangty thy, Ya Allah paper check krny waly k dil main rehm daal dyna....
It can be possible that the person in a particular year or couple of years, who marks the paper of Geography is more kind than the one who marks Economics....
But the Lucky and able ones do get high marks even in Economics...

Because the trend varies from year to year.No one exactly knows which subject will be high scoring/low scoring.

Just see Usman\'s DMC.

P.S My own brother who is masters in Mass communication got 33 in Journalism in C.E 2010(It is considered worst year for Journalism) and I who didn't prepare this subject, got 61 in 2011.Was he confused for his own subject?OR was I did more justice without preparation?
But the Lucky and able ones do get high marks .
They are exceptional cases. If only one person gets 152 marks in Urdu,it doesn't mean all others were incompetent.Or If only a few cross 100 marks in Indopak then it doesn't mean all others had no grip over it.It means either their luck worked and examiner gave them marks in dizziness or they attempted extra ordinary papers.

So considering average scores,it's all about scoring trend.

my question is that why is this exam dependent on luck and not on hard work and ability?

an able and hardworking person should only pray for getting favours from the so-called LUCK? and if the LUCK does not favour him where stand his ability and hardwork? have those two later elements any importance then?

alimanzoor10 Saturday, June 16, 2012 04:58 PM

In my humble opinion the score depends on examiner's whims, mood, temperament and the timing of marking the papers.....

and i m cofused that if FPSC is openly confessing that there are some low scoring subjects means FPSC itself advising aspirants to go for high scoring subjects then why is FPSC offering low scoring subjects? secondly if FPSC is saying that there are some high scoring and low scoring subjects then it should also provide the list as well. because in one year a subject is scoring and in another one the same subject is not so. then as css aspirant how will i come to know that this year this particular subject will go to fetch very good marks for me. So here is luck. if i m lucky i will go for subject which will fetch good marks in near future and vice versa. and this luck factor should be repalce with hard work.
