negotiations is a sign to make the region a place of peace. but karzai has expressed some concerns regarding negotiations . basically expressed his concern regarding name of the office which is islamic republic of afghanistan. these talks would yield hardly any positive result.
actually, america wants a respectful escape from afghanistan. the economy of america is not powerful. their soldiers r committing suicide.
but in my opinion if america wants to maintain peace in the region then they invited talibans on negotiation table before their attack.the region of southasia is very much effected from this attack . and if usa wants peace then they had no need to attack afghanistan . actually after ussr attack, usa also decided to show their power in the region thats why they attacked and destroyed whole afghanistan.

It is important for a political settlement in Afghanistan that all stakeholders including Taliban are on board. Doha Office is an important development.

Talks can pave the way for a power sharing formula, Residual American troops after 2014 withdrawal, Future of Afghanistan's electoral system. Pakistan has played a major role for the opening up of this office and they are the ones who can really bring Taliban to the negotiations table. Being neighbour, Pakistan has interests in internal peace in Afghanistan.
Pakistan supports an Afghan led and fghan Owned peace process and a friendly govt in Afghanistan is good for PAkistan and South Asia.
