PNS Mehran attackers had inside help: Navy officials
ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Defense has been briefed by the Navy on the PNS Mehran attack probe, Geo News reported. According to the sources, Navy officials said that four terrorists were involved in the attack and evidence had also been found which indicated that the terrorists were receiving help from inside the base. The in-camera briefing lasted for two hours. The committee was told that the internal probe of the attack was completed but the investigation into the external factors was still being conducted. OIC changes name
JEDDAH, June 28: The Organisation of the Islamic Conference, based in the Saudi city of Jeddah, on Tuesday changed its name to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.

Mystery surrounds resignation of Sindh Governor KARACHI: The issue of Sindh Governor’s resignation has become a mystery as spokesman for the President House has denied receiving it, Geo News reported. On the other hand, Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Khuhro has refused to receive the resignations of MQM provincial ministers, saying that he is acting Governor and that Sindh Governor is on leave. He said that Sindh Governor himself will receive and approve the resignations. Meanwhile, MQM Rabitta Committee Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar told ‘Geo News’ that Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has delivered his resignation to the President. He added that if the President House had not received it then why there were news of its approval. According to the sources, Sindh Governor is in Dubai.
