Advertisement for the hiring of a consultant was advertised in The Jang of 14-07-2019 which would assist the company in an internal promotion process.I don't understand what is going on??

Nobody knows what's going on. Doesn't anybody on this thread have any serving relatives or friends working in SNGPL? If so, kindly ask them and update us.

According to reply from MD SNGPL, I got on citizen Portal, "Scrutiny of the documents have been completed and interviews of eligible candidates will start shorty.

It means that the applicants who were not asked for the submission of the documents via email may consider themselves out of the race for the interview?

That is not the case as only those candidates were contacted that hadn't sent all relevant documents with their application. If someone is in top 5-10 of merit list of written test then he/she should be hopeful of getting interview call IMO.

May be they would start interviews after Eid. Their "shortly" means one month. :|

It's been 4 days since my complaint was lodged on the portal. No response as of yet.

If you addressed MD SNGPL.then they will respond.

I got the same response as you Awais.

The MD replied on the citizen portal that sorting through the documents of candidates took the bulk of the time. Interview calls will be begin "SHORTLY".

So it seems sngpl is looking for a MD/Chief again. How many times will they advertise for this post. They have not been able to complete last years recruitment and their soon will be long since 19aug is the last day for MD/chief losition.

Whatever the case maybe concerning the md, bod or ceo, the thing is that the recruitment for this case is progressing at a snail's pace.

Progress, IF ANY, will be made after the eid ul azha probably. And even then it will take 3-4 more months.

Does anyone have any idea as to when this never ending process will end or has it already ?

I say this bcoz recently the govt has intoduced tabdeeli in which a ban has been slapped on the purchase of all types of vehicles, creation of new posts etc.

Will this ban effect this recruitment which started some decades ago?

No new news related to SNGPL.The ban only applies to the creation of "new posts", not the recruitment on usual posts. Read the full story on "The News".

My suggestion is that old threads should be removed as these jobs are too old to apply.

Guys I think they are not interested to recruitment new staff no time line given by department for interviews

Hang in there buddy. Don't lose hope.

This delay and non responsiveness is the NORM of govt recruitment. Even CSS aspirants have to wait for nearly a year and a half for selection. For General recruitment it takes nearly a year from the posting of recruitment advert to final selection.

I hope recruitment process will be completed and deserving candidates will be appointed.

New AD for MD SNGPL, Last date to apply is 23-09-2019.

Its ok this must only be the 4 or 5th time this post has been advertised this year. Its kind of a routine now.

No updates every time they said interviews will start shortly

At least they haven't said that the recruitment process will be started afresh. (Referring to written scorers)

Guys MD SNGPL has been changed on 4 Oct 2019. Is this change is also a temporary one or proper contractual appointment has been done??

My interview for mechanical(engineer grade II-III) is on 31st October. Just got an email. The interview process has started

80. If I remember correctly, I was one of the top 5 candidate in the test

People are posting on Facebook regarding this. Seems like people from the Engineering domains(Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical) are getting the E-mails/calls. One can only pray that these political activities don't affect the process.
