I recommend all of u to just revise the basic stuff from the books and clear your concepts only. Dont waste time in reading irrelevant books.

As per my experience and knowledge test consists of 40 MCQs
MCQs ratio most probably in the following 2 ways:
1. All MCQs consists of Core course
2. 30 MCQs from core courses and 10 MCQs consist of Intelligence + GK questions.

There might be a possibility of Negative marking as Nescom usually opted negative marking policy in their tests so be careful while attempting any MCQ.

Dont forget to ask the invigilator about the negative marking.

yea i got letter for test......... i am from lahore and i have test at Insitute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan ICAP House# 155-156. West Wood Colony,Raiwind Road,Thokar Niaz Baig,Lahore.... any one from Lahore who received letter for test for AM(Finance)????/

Hi dear fellows,
I had applied for am-it and my personal assistant got call letter today (test city: lahore date: 11-Nov) at my office address. However I"m on eid vacations home far away from my current posting. Kindly tell me the test venue + any special instructions like original docs/NOC? + is it mandatory to take original call letter with us or we may take our cnic/service card?
I've experience of around 9 years in public sector + corporate multinational firms. Currently I'm in a civil sector public organization with bps-18 (pay without allowances is around 46K/pm and with special allowances around 65k/pm) + fully furnished family accomodation with servant, medical and dedicated round da clock transport facilities. Will my current pay will be preserved if selected against sps-8 or they may offer me sps-9 on the basis of my qualification/experience and current pay scale(as its implemented in civil service as per civil servants act 1973). Also, I've international research publications in journals of high repute HEC recongnized of course. I only wana join Nescom (or related organizations) as my current research highly relate to projects beneficial for my homeland otherwise I'm highly satisfied with my current job ALHAMDULILLAH
I am amazed they call for written test on fixed date/time for people who have extensive experience. I previously also had applied for MTC rcvd test letter but couldn't go out for test due to some official duties at my present job.
I strongly suggest (and will write)to HR department of Nescom/MTC/NDC that experienced persons in govt service (having more than 8 years of experience or in bps-18/above) should be called for interview/presentation with their reserach work/publications/research proposals-projects to work on in the said organization by phone(for negotiating date/venue) and with a time of feasibility of the applicant (and them of course) rather than a fixed test time. Or they may use skype or net meeting for interview for this purpose (of course only for govt servants). As in my organization, now for in-service (only govt service)/overseas candidates, our HR dept in consultation with IT dept uses netmeeting(secure encrypted mode) for interviews.
As many a times, you cannot avail leave even on sundays from your work at higher responsibility positions or you are posted for few weeks in far flung remote areas for some project etc.
