From previous year SNGPL test thread you can see that cut off score was 76. Are you sure it would be 63 now?

I have applied in Finance this time:

I am not sure about the answers except math portion please suit yourself accordingly.

The questions related to general knowledge were:

1. Which country of SAARC suggested the poverty Alleviation Fund? (Bhutan)
2. Basket Ball is the National Game of which country? (USA)
3. Taka is the Currency of ? (Bangladesh)
4. 1985 the pakistani secretary general of organization of islamic cooperation (Syed Sharifuddin Pirzada)
5. Radar stands for? (RADAR, Radio Detection And Ranging)
6. the Highest battle ground of World is? (SIACHIN)
7. Master Builder was ? (Shahjahan)


The analytical questions were as:

Faisal, Bashir, Ali, Imran and Naeem participated in monthly stamp collection contest. the particulars were:

Faisal has more tickets as Ali and Bashir Together.
Ali has tickets equal to imran and Naeem Together.
Ali has greater tickets than Bashir
bashir has more tickets than Naeem.
Every one has atleast one ticket.

then questions were easy.

other analytical was

Sadia, Tania, Uzma, Waheeda, Yasmeen and Zainab participated in sewing competiton such that one who sew most cloths would rank higher and with few clothes rank lower.

Sadia did not finish last.
tania Finish before or after waheeda
Yasmeen finish third
There was no tie

one question that confused me was
if Yasmeen Finishes before Tania then which of these would be wrong:
The answer was Sadia can't be 5th.

Logical was about


SNGPL related were:
1. Gas resources increase in 15 years was?
2. the core activity of sngpl is? (i guess transmission and Distribution)
3. Maximum # of gas fields from Which Province?
4. Transmission system of SNGPL is based on new pipelines and communicated loop in quantity? {options were 200, 206, 217, and last was probably 226 (not sure about last option i.e. 226)}
5. Combustion of burning Natural Gas yields? (CO2 & H2O)
6. Domestic gas Consumers installation in Gyser for gas saving? i.e. (Conical Baffle)
7. Which deptt served as Liasion between SNGPL consumers? (Customer support i guess)
8. A/an involves strategically system testing and evaluating the operating procedures and internal control ..... (blah blah) (i selected Operational audit other options were internal audit, financial audit and external audit)

Mathematics include:

1. Sum of the 2 # are 9 and if the numbers are reversed then the total increased by 63. the #'s are (81, 27, 18 and one more cant remember. answer was 18.)
2. If the area of a square increases by 69%, then the side of the square increases by (A) 13% (B) 30% (C) 39% (D) 69% (E) 130% (correct 30 i selected 13 damn i think 13*13=169. but its wrong http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question...6034908AA9cbzd )
3. if 14 is divided between a and b then half of A is equal to two third of B so A is equal to? (8)
4. son is half of the age of father but twenty years before son was six times younger then. what is the age of son now? (25)

5. one was about getting underroot of 15625 to have the answer.
6. what was the smallest #? (-5, -2, 0, 2, 5)
7. horese owner sold horse for 7600 at 5% loss. The original price was ? (8000)
8. 9 friends went to a hotel and 8 paid 3 but the last 9th paid 2 rs. more than the average what was the total amount of Bill? (29)
9. which ratio is different from rest 86/45, 112/63, 176/99, 180/90, 172/108 (180/90)


Other were kinda easy so i didn't note 'em down.

In my centre no one scored more than 75 only one with 75.

there were 80 t0 90 students in 7.30 am test timining mostly of accounts finance audit and billing.
highest marks were around 74 one or two few were in 60s and few were in 50
well i asked from few there scores were around 50 and 60 so it could not be in my lines there were 20 students hardly touches 60 so avg score is 55 to 60and cut of marks should be 60 or below.lets hope for best.plese note on thing i am talking about test that held at 7.30 at karachi and talking about accounts finance audit and billing.

last time when nts conducted test for sngpl it was quite fair and around 4000 candidates scored above 60 and all were called for a formality interview.
but after interview session round about 160 appointment letters were sent to multan shareef
now this time in sngpl test what i think is that the bull shit computers of testing centers supervised by nts readed wrong options
when i was attempting test i was damp sure that my score will cross 60 but after attempting last question i got surprised by result 50 out of 100
in last test of sngpl my score was 67

same as the case was with every one dear every one expectiing the results above 60 but after sub,itting final question mostly students were astonished to see the results was below avg even i saw some of students were very confident and cmpleted there test around25 mints earlier and was shoked to see there results were in 40s and 50s so best of luck to you as there is probabilty that 5o might be the cut of marks.

HI everyone,

Anyone has idea what is passing marks or passing criteria and how it is determined

and why SNGPL do not mention passing marks before test

Do they decide passing marks after sorting overall results, how it works tell me any person having experience for that.


Everyone is posting same question but no one has answered it till yet
