Yes, u r right there is a lot difference between regions and province.. i am not talking about provinces.. i am also talking about regions.. and the regions are punjab, sindh rural , blochistan, sindh urban, KPK, Gilgit/baltistan, AJK. FATA

Let me clarify to all those about this "16000-1200-40000" phrase in the ad.

In Government services such denotes
16000 = minimum Basic Pay in BPS 17
1200 = Annual increment in BPS 17
40000 = maximum basic pay in BPS 17 (no annual increment in Basic Salary after 40,000)

Also see the table provided by as_gazi (Good work sir)

Hence 40,000 is not the Gross Salary.

About Gross Salary it will include more than Basic Pay. Not only will it include allowances such as HRA Medical and Conveyance, but there are special allowances that are pertinent to particular departments. Such may include Judiciary allowance for Judges (ever wondered why Civil Judges are bieng paid above 95k), Police allowance for Police etc.

Similarly, EOBI has a special allowance too, and if we are to take that allowance into account then the pay would definitely go above 50k or even 55k as suggested in the earlier posts.
