Default Degree Equivalence For BS 17 Posts

I have applied for the FPSC posts which required MSc Physics. I have done Mechanical Engineering. Is mechanical Engineering Equivalent to MSC Physics or not? according to my Muurshid Google Baba, it is confirmed that 16 years of education is equivalent to Masters but i am still wondering about the specifications of degree. can someone help me out in this matter? Should i prepare for the tests or not? If it is not equivalent than it is worthless to even prepare and go to the test center. FPSC officials told me to contact HEC but they are like always sleeping and by chance if someones picks a number He/She refers to other department.

Well my BSc Mechanical Engineering is equivalent to Masters, But is it equivalent to MSc Physics or not?? FPSC some times mention Masters, and sometimes Masters in specific subject. Is there any difference between them?

you can applying for posts requiring 16 years of education in general, but not for posts requiring Masters in any specific subject. B.Sc Mechanical Engg. degree is not equivalent to M.Sc Physics.

You can apply for the posts requiring Second class or Grade 'C' Master degree but can't apply for the ones requiring specialization in specific subject.
