i have heard from my friends that test will be of MCQs type and will comprise of 100 MCQs

The test will be of 100 mcqs 20% English and 80% will be professional/general knowledge

This is a very technical post, so do not expect FPSC to include general topics like Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs etc. What does an Inspector of Inland Revenue have to do with general topics? His profession is entirely based on taxation. Test will be that of a professional level, in the profession of taxation. Since the competition is tough, FPSC is likely expected to confidentially consult some senior officer of FBR like Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue or some Fellow Chartered Accountant who is solely dedicated to taxation to give FPSC questions for that 80% professional test segment.

Ana and Hijab i just took these topics regarding sales tax ...excise act and income tax ordinance from fbr official website and their is no specific book for this exam as i already searched it so before the fpsc uploaded its syllabus i think its better to go through these topics though its little bit tough and some how lengthy too.Rest wait for fpsc hopefully they will upload syllabus till friday.

It is 3rd day since closing date. Yet fpsc is reluctant to post syllabus. They are wasting our time. Anyboday have any idea when fpsc shall post syllabus?

i guess in next week fpsc will surely upload syllabus for the said post.but why you guys are eagerly waiting for syllabus i mean leave syllabus till its announcement, initially prepare yourselves for English,GK and arithmetic as these all three sections will definitely be given in the test.
