Is this your thinking or you know this for IPC. I mean age factor is used in Public commission for tie and this approach is also followed by IPC.

Is not it unfair to make overall merit. I mean there was hell of a difference among paper level of all groups. All scholarships will go to social sciences and management

yes I was told years back by IPC they give priory to those who are close to age limit

Brother, the principle of advising is to fill the shoes of the seeker and then suggest. Please always ask to those for a piece who had been/are in the situation same as yours. By chance, I qualify. I was selected for this scholarship last year for Civil engg in China. But I refused as I secured another foreign scholarship offered by HEC. I also, am serving in B-17 in education department as Lecturer but I am sure that I should quit as after Phd, I would be offered a more prestigious job in a university... Besides that, the more attractive part is getting educated in a foreign country which does worth it..
I don't have any knowledge of your exact circumstances which include myriad of factors, but keeping your given info in mind, I would suggest you to leave job and go for studies... Your future would be brighter and you will be more learned. you know the rest. cheers

Can you please mention that HEC scholarship and its procedure?

HRDI-UESTP which was for all provinces, and was for Engineering studies only. I secured a scholarship but couldn't avail it.
But later I secured and availed one under AHBP. It was for Balochistan only, titled as Aghaz-e-Huqooq-e-Balochistan.
