Default How was the experience of PMS (KP)?

Salam!

Please share how was your experience of PMS test?

How would you rate the papers in terms of difficulty? Wasn't KP PMS tough this time even by CSS standards?

Please give your opinion about the History of India and Pakistan Papers, especially the paper 1. Were you people able to grasp the questions? I've never seen such a dificult paper.

Wa Alaikum Salam!

Bro I attempted the PMS Examination. My experience was quite good overall. Regarding the papers, the paper of "Current Affair" had nothing current in it, and there were mistakes in some of the MCQs in the papers as well, you can see by yourself, I've uploaded them. The optional papers that I attempted weren't that difficult overall if you must know, and if you compare the papers with that of the CSS ones, they're relatively easier, but the Essay topics are same in both.

The exam was very general this time. Examiner was demanding our view in almost every paper. Those who tried to present answer in their own way and ignoring bookish or notes style would score well.
Plus in essay topics like global warming and media were misunderstood by many candidates. in my opinion hardly 100-200 candidates will score passing marks.May be i am wrong but thats what i feel...

Well lets hope the marking isn't tough. General Knowledge was tough, while in Optionals History of India and Pakistan was even above the standard of MA. That was too lengthy.

In essay, like FPSc, KPPSC too has focused on Research based essays.

I think essays should be according to demand of examiner. Like if he asks Media Transition in Society and one focus on only media so he wont be able to score. Similarly Global Warming In Future Perspective is again a tricky essay. One has to focus on its future perspective rather than focusing on effects and causes of global warming.

True! These are theses statements. One could go for those only when he/she had the relevant data and was able to reference.

Did you have Indo-Pak as your optional?

Bro so you are saying that the Essay topics like "Global Warming" and "Media" were tricky ones because most of the students misunderstood them. When you talk about future of mankind in the Global Warming perspective, I believe that one should briefly shed light on the effects, causes and eradication of this global phenomena for the the future generation as well because they're the indicators of what's going to happen in future if the problem persists, right? If you look at it this way, the future of the mankind is dependent on the causes and effects of global warming, I believe they're the part and parcel for elaborating the future of mankind in the global warming perspective.
