Which subjects should I opt?
Assalam.o.Alaikum!
I am going to appear in CSS Exams 2018 and also deposited fee for KPK PMS. I am facing some difficulties in the selection of optionals. Before I share my opted subjects for CE-2018, I feel it important to share my academic background. I have done my LL.B Hons Shariah and Law (both Islamic and General Laws) and my LL.M Human Rights Law is in thesis phase. I have a strong base in Arabic, International Law to some extent, Constitutional Law to some extent and relatively better knowledge of Muslim Law and Jurisprudence. My opted subjects for CE-2018 are: International Relations 200 Marks International Law 100 Marks History of USA 100 Marks Gender Studies 100 Marks Arabic 100 Marks Now, in KPK PMS, there is no subject of Gender Studies. Also International Relations in KPK PMS is of 100 Marks and can not be opted with International Law therefore I am thinking about opting Political Science of 200 Marks as it is very identical to International Relations. Kindly suggest me from the following combinations keeping in view the scoring trend too: Combination #1 Political Science 200 Marks Arabic 200 Marks International Law 100 Marks History of USA 100 Marks Combination #2 Political Science 200 Marks Arabic 200 Marks International Law 100 Marks Constitutional Law/Muslim law and Jurisprudence 100 Marks Combination #3 Arabic 200 Marks International Law 100 Marks Muslim Law and Jurisprudence 100 Marks History of USA 100 Marks Journalism 100 Marks |

Your CSS combo seems just fine, pertaining to the KPPMS, I would like to advise you going after option no. 3rd. Political Science will not fetch you good marks and, in addition, this subject has got a very lenthy syllabus. I am MPhil in Political and my record score, during the span of 5 competitive exams, in this subject is just 140/200. Good luck kid!

Just focus on the preps of competitive exams and you'll be okay with all of the other recruitment tests as most of these tests are based on the compulsory subjects in the aforementioned exams...... Send me a mail via my email add. and I'll share some tips for tackling the challenges that awaits you in a befitting manner. Good luck!
