basic pay of 30,370 and some allowances
This is on training or after training? I had heard some allowances like executive type were approved recently which made an addition of 45k to the salary of BS -17 officer. How true is that?
Generally speaking, if one is to harbour any hope of making it to the final list, he/she should score in excess of 700 at the very least. However, it does not imply that all is lost for those falling short of the 700 mark provided they score somewhere around 670-680 and do exceedingly well in the interview.
Those who had attempted 2016 PMS papers would appreciate that the papers toughness level was very low. Last year PMS papers were quite tough and had analytical questions. I personally believe that getting 700 would not be a walk in the park. But getting 700 would certainly be a ticket for PMS selection.

The executive allowance was approved but is it been given to officers in Kpk, i have to ask that from my sister. As far as css officer are concerned they were given a salary of 35k during their stay at CSA and the pay was increased to 38k during STP (Source: Sister is currently AC UT chakwal)

I think 38000 allowance was approved for BPS 17 last year but its not clear if it would also be allowed during training or not ?

Can any one shed light on the final take home pay during training ?

True that. However, there was a fuss that 2 papers were targeted intentionally by the commission due to which many candidates could not score

This argument of your's holds water as I my-self was targeted in Islamic History & Culture. I was given 33 in Paper I and 30 in Paper II which ended up my total on 686. Paper II played decisive role by becoming me fail.

This time I found all the papers having different tone and style. I would be more than happy if i got 690 this time because keeping in view the high number of seats, it would be suffice.

I have a friend whose a Section Officer in Cabinet Division. From what I can recall is he got 38k during CTP and afterwards he started getting 52k I suppose.
I will have to check again. But he is the same guy who told me that officers in KPK received more and that in CSS in general, there are 3 groups whose basic pay has been doubled i.e, Police, Customs and IRS if I am not wrong.
