there should be an error message as well , you should have stated that. take a screen shot of it .and mention the OS you are using and the name of anti virus you have installed on your PC .so that one may be in a better position to understand your problem.

As stated by talha hasan, if you get a restart message before the system reboot it is more likely that the Remote procedure Call RPC failed. There is a temporary fix for this problem. Go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services

In the Services window locate the service that reads "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)". Double click to open the RPC window and click the "Recovery" tab. Change the "First Failure", "Second Failure" and "Subsequent Failure" to : Take no action. Apply the settings. This will prevent your computer from restarting but your computer my still be infected with virus.. Download and Install Avira Antivir Personal Classic Edition (The best free antivirus software that i know of) and run a full system scan to clean your system from virus.

[Edit] : Sorry I didn't read your last message..
If your system reboots at random intervals without showing an error message then it has something to do with your hardware. In most cases low memory (RAM) or improper hardware configuration. Make sure you don't have any software installed that is eating up most of your system memory. Post your system specs here

as suggested by Leonidas , check your system for all those options, if you see a blue screen for 2-3 sec and then pc reboots then there is some conflict with your hardware, otherwise, may be your processor's fan is not working properly , cuasing heat up of processor or your RAM got soem problem

Regards,

You are welcome Halima
But still you have not mentioned if your problem has been solved out or not yet?

If you have fixed your problem then do share how you fixed...
Did you tried some option we pointed out or you tried something else?

Your answer with working solution will work as Knowledge Base and any returning users to this thread can get knowledge as well as solution for such problem.

Yes Talha, my above solution for win32 error was for you. NO Matter which version of windows xp is with you.. Download MindSoft Utilities XP 9.6 and use Registry Cleaner option.

afer it has scanned and pointed out your registry errors just clear all.

I hope so your problem will be solved.

Regards,

@halima and talha:

wel the best solution is given by sajjad naveed. actually the problem occurs due tot he presence of a trojan. this is a mailicious program that hides itself and seems to be ueful but infact is destructive to your system. and if the problem occurs after opening the browser, its because the trojan has attached itself with the initial programs that execute when u start your browser ( SO FOR YOU THE EASIEST FIRST AID IS TO DELETE ALL YOUR TEMPORARY INTERNET FOLDERS: this wud work only if the malicious code hasnt done mucg destrution to your system, and the other prevention is not to visit unknown or insecure websites), trojan actually resides in your registry of the computer. check my post on trojans under the topic"the most common iternet dangers" by amy where i have given the solution on how to remove trojans from your system(to some extent)....

BEST OF LUCK!!!!!!!!!!
