Obviously Numl would me me first priority. Thanks for providing the information. But I'm tensed about their requirements as they have clearly mentioned about that English Advanced diploma. I can't afford 1 year for that diploma only.

there is no such compulsion....but for your satisfaction,you can call on uni number and ask from them...but i don't think there is any sort of requirement of this kind.

i have done it in Morning...so don't know about much...mostly those ppl take admission in morning who have jobs or some kind of problem...
in evening there is only one section usually,same teachers teach morning as well as evening...your papers would also held in evening.

i would recommend you to take admission is morning if you can coz there are 2 to 3 sections of each semester...usually best teachers teach in morning like honorary lecturers....but it all depends upon you.All the best

that 1 year advanced diploma is for those who have 3rd division in graduation,if u have done ur graduation in 2nd divison then u don't need to go for that diploma but if u have not studied english literature in graduation then u will have to clear a zero semester in which u will be taught some basics and u will have to clear it n then ur M.A english literature n linguistics will start.

is it new rule?coz i have not studied Literature in my graduation...but got admission in Masters straight away..no zero sem...

mostly ppl end up getting admission in zero sem coz teachers don't think them capable enough of doing Masters i mean they lack a bit in something...but i don't think it' compulsion..

some ppl deliberately take admission in zero sem,coz they think they don't know enough...but i think instead of doing zero one should take admission in 1st sem of Masters....

many of my friends in uni who did zero told me that zero sem is not much fruitful...actually it is the easiest way to get admission in Masters 1st sem coz if you have done zero sem then you don't have to give any test or interview...and that's why many ppl,who don't even know how to read one sentence of English,got admission in Masters...plus mostly"sifarshi's"are in zero sem.

but i am not totally against it(but not recommended)...if someone wants to know about basic literature etc...they can get admission...

i dun know abt sifarshis n etc .... i dun see any better guys even in M.A ... but this is what is happening now ... if u haven't studied literature ...u will be given admission in zero semester,just a waste of time

Kindly tel me which govt.universities in lohore offer msc linguist. Not m.a eng language n literature. Pure msc linguistic.

Pure Linguistics is in kinnaird college university. This is one which I am sure about.

i have applied in Numl, I have an admission test tomorrow morning at Numl (Monday 28th June'10). But I have no idea about the syllabus of admission test. Can anybody tell me about what kind of test it would be or what syllabus can be it from ?
