Default BS(CS) v/s MCS

Assalam o alaikum..
I am confuse, Please tell me which is better degree for job? I hear there is no value of BS. (4 years) and its graduation degree not masters. In some jobs MCS is eligible and BS. is not eligible. Is it? Is MCS better or BS(CS) ?

JAZAKALLAH.

Software Engineering is better than both of these when you are comparing job perspective. Plenty of jobs available in software houses in Pakistan. Plus point degree is equivalent to sixteen years of education.

Both are equivalent.But nowadays BS(CS) is given more preference because you study more courses in it as compared to simple 2 years programs of Bcs and Mcs.

Also BS(CS) is equivalent to Msc according to a notification issued by hec in year 2007.

http://www.hec.gov.pk/InsideHEC/Divi...s%20Degree.jpg

From education perspective,the route you follow with each degree program is as follows,
BS(CS) --> MS --> PHD

Bcs --> Mcs ---> MS --> PHD

And from job perspective nowadays jobs are announced mentioning that they require people having BS(CS) 4 years or Mcs from a recognized institution.Or simply they mention that those who have completed 16 years of education are eligible to apply for a specific post.

So my suggestion is go for BS(CS)..

BS(CS) is better if you are an intermediate and now want to decide between BSc/ Bcs and BS(CS). If u already have done graduation (2 years) then go for Mcs. It is equivalent to BS(CS).
