D->W

its F (but somewhere in back of my mind i think its something else)
I found the correct answers, and your are correct as well (dont go to the back of your mind :D)

Only two more to be unriddled:

If Emily is related to Bella and Anderson is related to Theodore, then Glen is related to Paul??? true or false

...3; 8; 15; 35; 48; 63; ??? what comes next

There is a typo in the last one; the correct is:
...3; 8; 15; 24; 35; 48; 63; ??? (missed 24)

Here are few very difficult ones, so I will also give you options for those:

1. If 2 is to 7, then 11 is to ??? (17, 15, 19, 21)

2. If 26 is to 3 then what is to 4 (37, 63, 27, 65)

3. If 4 is to 32, then 5 is to ??? (50, 25, 61, 45)

4. If 20 is to 410, then 12 is to ??? (110, 244, 200, 150)

5. 42->60; 53->??? (44, 80, 71, 17)

6. If drama is to stage, then film is to ??? (Screen, Theatre, Ticket, Spectator)

(Thats all :dd)

as these are very short questions, the logic lies entirely in the first part, you have to discover it. flooks are not allowed, hence all answers must come with a logical explanation. ;)

@Above:

...3; 8; 15; 24; 35; 48; 63; 80

4. If 20 is to 410, then 12 is to 150(110, 244, 200, 150) Formula is like (N*N)+(N/2) means (20*20)+(20/2)=410, similarly (12*12)+(12/2)=150

5. 42->60; 53->71 (44, 80, 71, 17) simply addition of 18

6. If drama is to stage, then film is to ??? (Screen, Theatre, Ticket, Spectator)

Theatre is right.
4. If 20 is to 410, then 12 is to 150(110, 244, 200, 150) Formula is like (N*N)+(N/2) means (20*20)+(20/2)=410, similarly (12*12)+(12/2)=150
Absolutely Correct.. ;)
5. 42->60; 53->71 (44, 80, 71, 17) simply addition of 18
The answer is correct and the explanation also seems fair enough, but I had different logic.. it was both numbers had to be even or odd, and the sum of figures in both numbers should be same (42=4+2=6, 60=6+0=6 and both are even numbers)...

guess what, I just discovered that if you add 18 to any 2 digit number, it will produce similar result as my logical explanation :D. (If I had not placed 71 and only placed 17, it would have been very difficult then :dd, guess I made it easy myself)
6. If drama is to stage, then film is to ??? (Screen, Theatre, Ticket, Spectator)

Theatre is right.
No marks on answers without explanation (I mean even the flook is not correct :dd)

Film is to Screen.

mhmmdkashif Tuesday, March 29, 2011 03:19 AM
Film is to Screen.
Yeaa, no logical explanation required I guess, if theatre is not correct then obviously it had to be :evil

main bhi yehi sochta tha, magar kisi american se baat cheet barhi to pata laga ke yeh log "Cinema" ko "Theatre" kehte hain :dd

the explanation of the question was drama is displayed on stage and movie is displayed on screen :D

Unhon ne kafi kuch badal diya hai. Werna pehltay "theatre" stage ko kehtay thay. Ab jo literature main ne parha hai, us ke hisab se theatre Stage hi hai. :)
