Well... the question was built on some other logic... i.e. multiplying the first and the last digit gives the middle two!

There are two trees, some birds are sitting on both the trees. If we count them then there are a total of 64 birds on both trees. If 16 birds flew to the first tree from second then both the trees have the same no. of birds. how many birds each tree had?

on first tree there are 48 birds on second tree there are 16 birds. 16 birds flew from first to second now both tree have same number of birds which is 32
