The URS of Hazrat Syed ALi bin Usman Hajvery (commonly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh) ended at Lahore between night of Saturday and Sunday (March 10-11, 2007).

The urs was attended by hundreds and thousands of people.... by HIS grace v (me, brothers and friends) were also able to make our selves present at dua at about 2 a.m..... started journey at 9 p.m. and reached there at 01:30 a.m..... and started home journey at 4:30 am and reached back home at 08:30 a.m.

It was indeed very different expereince to see over there.....

Hazrat Syed Ali Hajvery born in Ghaznavi empire in eleventh century and spent his early years in Afghanistan and then settled at Lahore till his movement to enternal journey....

He was a great sufi saint and his book 'kashful mahjoob' is treated as the best work on tasawuf (sufism)

A famous verse is attirbuted to him

"Ganj Bakhsh Faize Alam Muzhare Noor-e Khuda
Nakasaan Ra Peer Kamal Kamlaan Ra Rehnama"
