1) Born in a family of illiterates - extremely backward class - yet an only Engineer in the entire community.
2) Luckiest to have mother having intellectual mind, who gives utmost priority to education, exceptional hard worker in both financial and emotional term despite the fact that she is having no educational certificates. 3) Throughout my education - from one to intermediate level - was educated in govt. schools and college. 4) Learnt grammar including parts of speech, tenses in college level. 5) After doing Fsc in pre-engineering, I was awarded prestigious four-year fully funded PM ICT Scholarship for completion of B.E. by ministry of IT. 6) With gradual recognition of the fact that I am not born for engineering, I finally realized in third-year of university that Arts, history, and international affairs and relations have been the areas of my real taste. 7) Religion has been the most appealing and debatable topic for me. Despite the fact I am a non-Muslim, having being raised in Pakistani society, my rationally-driven approach on religion has frequently resulted in lost of many closed friends. 8) Suffering of my mother and seeing her unending efforts for us has incorporated in me to believing that woman is superior to man (due apology to my male friends :P) 9) I consider myself and feel proud being open-minded, liberal in ideas, and at some extend a feminist. 10) I have cherished dream of being allocated in FSP, working in different countries, having exposure to different cultures and lifestyles.

1. I think that sitting at the top of a plateau on a sunny winter morning and seeing how life goes on at the footstep is one of the most beautiful feelings in the world.
2. While I totally admire reading books from multifarious realms e.g theology, history, law, contemporary politics, there is nothing that comes close to literature; literature exhorts me to be a compassionate human. 3. When the not so exciting CSS books bore me to the marrow of my bones (which they do after every 20 minutes), I read Nuskha Haye Wafa or Glimpses of World History by Nehru. 4. Visiting the Grand Canyon is one of my biggest dreams. 5. Seeing paintings of Vladmir Volegov, Claude Monet and Van Gogh is one of my favorite pastimes. 6. Unless it is exceptionally good and decent humor, I cannot read or watch anything that is not edifying (the reason why Ashfaq Ahmed never disappoints me). 7. I possess neither the eloquence of speech nor diction. My English is abysmal and have equally awful Urdu (wondering what on earth I am good at...) 8. The few quotations that I follow both in letter and spirit are: -You wish to be called righteous rather than act right... wrong must not win by technicalities. -Choose your battles carefully for peace is often more important than being right. - They're certainly entitled to think that, and they're entitled to full respect for their opinions, ... but before I can live with other folks I've got to live with myself. The one thing that doesn't abide by majority rule is a person's conscience. 9. I have no exaggerated opinions about myself (I think so). I am an absolutely ordinary person out of the 6233456378 that are struggling with their lives (and Alhamdulillah better-off than millions out there, cannot thank Allah enough for whatever He has bestowed me with). 10. I gotta post it lest my battery bids farewell (yes, already ENJOYING this prolonged outage today) |
