Smile Why Girls are more interested in doing M.A English

Why girls are more interested in M.A English??every girl wants to get admission in this dept whereas M.A English has no value in Job Market..after the completion of their masters they could only join Educational dept..so do u peolpe think girls should now think about these lines..they should prefer to do MBA,Msc Sociology or MSc Mass com..
My own experience is very bitter in this regard therefore im asking.
Regards,

yea i agreed with ur opinion ,MBA or Master in Social Sciences in better than MA English. After MBA u can apply in almost every Sector & u have more chances to avail, but u can apply only in Education depart. ,or in Newspaper after MA English.

You are right in this regard that most of the Female are interested in Masters in English, one of the reason for choosing their English Masters is that they(Females) are mostly interested in joining Educational Departments as Lecturers or Instructors. But this trend is changing slowly as now the number of Women in Business field has been found in abundance doing MBAs and MAs in Social Sciences.

Default MA English for Girls

MA English is a creative sort of qualification. I do not agree with you that there is no job market for MA English. Now a days MA english is much more sought after in writing web based articles, web contents, press releass and much more. Moreover these sort of jobs can be performed from home @ $3-40 per article based on quality. so this is the best option for girls. Also girls are more concerned about psychology, socialogy, fine arts, mass communication as well so English Literature also falls in the same category that best suits to the girls. Whereas MBA is very much professional qualification and our culture does not support it at all. Majority of the girls having done their MBA are stick to home, they are not doing any job leading to wastage of qualification. So MA english, however, may be utilized in different ways than MBA for Girls.

Smile ma english 4 girls

i agree wid u Zash ma english is very valuable. the fact is any body who studies literature get a great exposure abt all the fields of life. literature is the only discipline which covers every aspect of life. and as 4 as market value is concernd nw a days degree dosnt matter. i mean there are many mba who r nt able 2 get job according to their qualification.so grils must nd shud go 4 ma english. i knw personaly many csps who hv done ma english bt they r performing in different fields. so ma english not only 4 girls bt 4 all shud b encouraged.

I am agree with Nuzhat.
Last year i went to Kinneraird College for the admission of a relative and found that all girls entering in 1st year are opting for the subject of English Literature and the college has not so many seats, so they conducted a test for them and allowed only the brilient ones. It shows the popularity of this subjects among girls.

if u campare men and women the significant factor which makes thm the two opposite poles is frankly speaking ,women take english more thn just a language , rather admiring it as life style. Where as men r some wht alergic to it majority of thm including ME. so perhaps this might be or might be not the reason

Waqas is right to some extent, I agree with you.
Maha Khan is right in meaning that Girls go for it more than boys do. But I don't agree when you say that M.a English has no value in job market. Mba also has no value in the job market unless you have a good degree from a very good institution. I regard M.A English much more useful than any of the degrees Maha Khan has mentioned, specially regarding Css purpose.

i agree that girls take english as apart of their style these days. girls get inferiority complex if they cannot speak or write english properly as opposed to men

It can be considered as the interest to the subject but, in fact, most of them go for it due to the frustration about language proficiency. You can observe tha from secondary schools, girls' main focus is English Language and they feel proud by talking so much English. I know, little number of people will agree with me but it is a bitter fact.
