yes u r right to some extent. bt its not that u can claim 2 speak fluent english if u hv done ma eng. the fluency and accuracy can only b attain wid da constant practice. it comes when u create by urself an environment where u interact wid the others in eng. bt its also a very sad fact that many std of ma eng just get the degree of ma eng for label wid their names.i mean mostly they dont knw much abt eng literature, its history, its works.
thats da problem actually they couldn't attain da caliber which one expect to an ma eng. so i request to all students of eng literature that plzzzzzzzzzzz study it thoroughly and comprehensively.which is its charm and which is its requirement.and more over eng literature is a ravishing discipline. it shudnt b done merely as fashion rather it shud b done to get knowledge. otherwise many people speak eng bt they r nt actually ma eng.

Thumbs down whyyyyyyy

boys become engineers, soldiers and we end up studying literature.i feel jealous of those guys who are engineers and those who are in army.
i love both these professions.if God give me a second chance i will do pre engineering.and will try my luck in army if rejected i will try my luck to become a chemical engineer.

I dont see every girl going for MA English rather now-a-days, girls are more prone to do MBA, MCS, pharmacy etc.
The scope of MA eng is not that limited as has been shown in the above posts. They can get place almost in every organization even where others are restricted. Its a very interesting and charming subject, and as Nuzhat said, it covers almost all fields of life, and equally agree with Zash who threw light on variuos possible scopes of MA Eng.
Over and above, out society is much developed now, but a wide area of our society doesnt permit the girls to come out with bold and brave steps yet. So for that category, MA Eng stands helpful degree for girls of backward area who consider Teaching a only respectable and safe profession, and for what they are likely to face least restrictions.
As far as to be fluent in Eng is concerned, it has nothing to do with having MA Eng degree. One who is matric., but is sorrounded with Eng can speak better and fluent eng as compared to Degree holder who has little practice of it.
