Insult of Presidency? Come on dude, why drag Presidency in it? No one means to disrespect Presidency while criticizing Zardari, its his person that we abhor & for our own genuine reasons. I doubt if he minds any of his humiliations, he is amazingly shame-proof to all such trivial insults. Its your goodness that you care about your President being humiliated = )

OK, we may be biased for disliking his angelic face, we may be thought of as PML-N or some other party supporters, our media sure may be too hostile or irresponsible & blah blah, but then there must be some good reason why even the international media grilled him for his inhumane behaviour towards his nations' condition & sentiments.

International community can't be easily fooled as we like ourselves to be, it very well knows what sort of man has unfortunately (and to their advantage) occupied our Presidency. I think its a childish argument that Pakistan's image is tarnished by such an incident; it may sound sober & mature while showing off our patriotic vibes here but then the ugly reality about Pakistan's so called leaders can't be denied either.

I give you an example. These are two lines taken from just yesterday's The Guardian paper editorial, see how they have described our 'vivacious' President.

'Mr Zardari, the artful dodger of Pakistan, has apparently escaped near-certain political death again.'

'Thus the space that Mr Zardari occupies is a crucial one. It is his nation's enduring tragedy that these shoes are not filled by a bigger man.'

Now I beg to differ here. I personally never advocate boots, but I also opine that it has always unfortunately been our politicos' attitude that sets the stage for military dictators to derail democracy.

No one would like to see the derailment of our perverted democratic system but then the incompetence & non-serious attitude of our leaders must be vigorously questioned alongside. It can be called intolerance on our part but what about their subhaanallah kartoots? Should they be over-looked for the sake of democracy mantra till the next elections?

I think criticism could have been milder from all the corners if it were ever heeded in any positive way. I don't appreciate the undue pinching of media at certain occasions but then the governments' total apathy & non-seriousness towards the real issues makes people desperate.

The kind of impatience that people show these days is a sign of sheer frustration, everyone is getting hopeless with each coming day about the future of this country & thereby theirs.

I wish our leaders could ever inspire a ray of hope by showing that they do care & are sincere; patriotism hasn't died yet in our hearts. Pakistan's biggest problem today in my view is that no one is willing to own it, esp our leaders. Sadly everyone uses it, without even showing the courtesy of paying her back.

Just my thoughts, no offense whatsoever.

Yes, of course the govt. has not completed even 2 years but now democracy is regarded as a failed system in the country. Immaturity.

What kartoots plz mention some of them. Yes, you should wait for next election or force them to leave govt through no confidence motion in parlia.

When a Iraqi educated news reporter threw shoes on President of United States of America, the only super power, he did not asked for resignation? Everyone saw that video, how shoe was thrown actually and how Bush reacted and saved himself from that attack, that guy was jailed for 1 year.

But this innocent Pakistani, in the age of 60+, p, wearing Ajrak but not Sindhi speaking, has stupid reason to throw shoe, which was not even visible to all audiences, and throw didn’t even reach the stage, and some PAKISTANIs are asking resignation of PRESIDENT?

DID you see that video when he was throwing shoe? NONE SAW IT YET, and what if you have seen it, you are asking him to resign?

LEADERSHIP is not bound with education, mind you, it depends on Leadership skills brother. Have sense before talking here, because you are the youth of Pakistan who will be joining Civil Service, a future where there should not by any place for biasness!

I am not loyal to MR Zardari, but he is our PRESIDENT, he represents our country which is PAKISTAN, we all are Pakistanis, he is elected by majority, every part of Pakistan has voted him and elected him!

@MBA
Jis insan ko khud apne president hone ka nai pata..jis ko president ki responsibility ka andaza hi nai hai.yaha log dob k mar rahe hai.and wo maze apni beti ki bazo mai bazo dal ke pics bnwa raha hai..us ki speech main kisi aik jaga laga ho k us k facial expression main regret ya sorrow k asar hain.ya hamdardi k bol hi bolain ho..uski speech bibi and bhutto k name se start hoti hai and in hi k name pe hatm.Is insan ko garhe murdo ko ukharne ki siasat ati hai.hum logo ne is ko zinda logo ki falah k lye nominate kya and wo insan bus murdo and shadto ki siasat karte hai.PPP ki shahdto ko pakistani nation ko kia faida hai,ya to in ki shahdat se awam ko peace mila, ata mil gaya, sakoon naseeb ho gaya..har jaga aman o ashti hai.

Jis insan ko khud president ki value ka ehsas nai hai to hum logo pe kyon kya restriction lagi hai is ki value ka andaza lagane ka...aur phr jo pori dunia main Pakistani President ka jo mukam hai wo b hum logo ko maloom hai...

International media man report hai k Camroon ne shake hand karne k baad apni fingers count ki k kahin zardari ne koi finger to ni nikal li ....ub is se ziada aur kitni izzat and value btao?

Regards,
I fully endorse your opinion...we cannot neglect conspirancy factor against him...Geo was criticizing his visit even before he met with Cameron...Geo deliberately highlighted this small news and now claiming that its reportings are being banned in country...which is totally wrong...May I ask where Geo or ARY news channels are banned???in lhr??NO...In Multan ?No...in isb?No...then where???actually, our media is just trying to snub Mr Zardari...
@Saqib Riaz! calm down bro...Send me the piece of news from where you have read that cameron has counted his fingers after shake hand with Mr President...You talked about PPP'shahdat..."ise kehte hain Murghi bechari jan se gai aur khane wale lo Maza na aya...

I second muser comments but here on this thread the confusion remains is that members consider that we are happy at this incident while the truth is contrary. I am feeling extremely down when I heard of this and it is not against the presidency but again an individual whose actions are not justified. First of all mr. president should have cancelled his visit in such calamatic circumstances, if those who really thinks that this was necessary then why Brazil president cancel his visit to attent G20 summit. Was there more devastation done by floods in pakistan. For more details please confirm at thsi link http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/90...2/7041497.html

It is a completely baseless argument that he should visit in such high times and spend thousands of pounds with his crew as the need was so that pakistan was going to destabalize. Guys stand up Pakistan is a Nuclear Power, no country of the world can damage it and the destabilization which is prevailent is all because of our leadership and their blind policies.

I am taking this incident as positive that might be this prove as an eye-opener for mr. president and he comes up a change man with a mindset for miseries of this nation. from above discussion of mine it would have been evident how eager we are to see democracy flourish in this country but its hitting its own shoes again and again.

Its sad to know such views of future csp,z regarding presidnt of pakistan
and i m not shocked to know it.
Well this is how few bias anchors at tv channels mould the views of millions, including such a sane class of future csp,s(dats bad).
you people must be impartial.
what kind of service that so called aged man has done to pakistan.
He has been living thousands miles away from home, serving birtish people,if they are true patriots why do n,t they come pakistan and save people from natural disaster.NO they won.t come but look for cheap ways to make headlines.
its shameful act and certain group of bias media does not let go any momoent to flame the crisis..
