Judiciary, an obstacle in justice
Recently an abominable scandal sprung up through text messages, social media and electronic media regarding the irregulations in Balochistan Public Services Commission. Higher officials including the Chairman of commission, Deputy Director (Exams) and Deputy Director (Secrecy) have been accused for appointing their kith and kins.
In a recent written examination held for positions of Section Officer (B-17),Chairman BPSC Son got top position, Son of Deputy Director (Exam) got 2nd position, Nephew of commission member got 4th position, Ex MPA Jumal Bugti's Son Adil Bugti selected as Section Officer (B-17). Furthermore, the commission chairman has already appointed his two (02) daughters and wife to scale 17, whose degree according to recent investigations are found to be fake. Other than appointing the near and dears there have been rumours of bribery of huge sums by selecting incompetent and illegible candidates. NAB team under a dutiful officer, Deputy Director, Zia Ullah Toro executed a raid when these reports came into surface in the presence of tv channels and conficated the record of recent exams as well as the exams held 2010 onward. Afterwards the commission chairman filed a petition in Balochistan High Court against NAB. Bench comprising of Balochistan High Court judges, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokheil and Justice Ghulam Mustafa decreed to excricate the dutiful officer of NAB, Deputy Director, Zia Ullah Toro from investigation of BPSC scandal. During the case hearing, filed by Chairman Ashraf Magsi, the bench accused Zia Ullah for harassing the culprits in the name of inquiry and ordered him to leave the Court Room. Yesterday, on the nexr hearing, the honourable court decreed NAB to handover the record back to BPSC and directed to refrain from giving any details to media. All this is happening when the Hounorable Chief Justice of Supreme Court, Mr. Iftekhary Mohammad Chaudary in present in the same city and same court. |
