Disowning the Nobel prize just because its a western-backed hidden agenda reveals the sickening mentality and foolishness of our nation.
The problem with the people is that they came to know about Malala yousafzai only after the Taliban attack a year ago. Malala deserves more than just the Nobel peace prize which was conferred to Obama for no good reason. When the dead bodies of Army personnel were hanged in the Swat valley, she displayed a rare example of courage and bravery against the bloody monsters. That kind of courage is missing in our political and military leadership, so the confusion in the mind of masses is clearly evident. A confused nation failed to decide which course to follow. The Nobel peace prize committee and the UNO want to symbolise Malala for the awareness of girls education in Pakistan, Afghanistan and worldwide. In my opinion, its a bit early for a yet a teenage girl to hold that award. She must rather concentrate on her education, work for education to claim the award. For me, its just a matter of time and nothing else.

Nobel Peace prize has been given to controversial figures over the years.
Last year it was given to European Union, although most of the NATO members are members of EU and we all know the role NATO has played in maintaining peace in the world. In 2010 it was given to Liu Xiaobo who defamed China-the arch rival of US throughout the world. In 2009 it was given to Barak Obama for his "militant policies". So it will not be surprising if Malala wins this award. Although she has already won a dozen other awards. |

It seems like the only biggest problem of Pakistan is 'whether Malala should win Nobel Peace Prize or not?'
I am not amazed at such majority of persons who are opposing her for nothing. We always do same with our heroes. What we did to our 1st Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Abdussalam is in everyone's knowledge. He got Nobel Prize and we made him to get out of this country. Now we are doing same to Malala. Sorry to say but those people who can't do anything great by themselves they can't endure others' success. I wonder if we have a mental sickness as a nation? We consider every thing as a conspiracy of Jews. If our cricketers get punishment for fraudulent deeds we consider it a conspiracy. If Afia sahiba gets caught on terrorism charges we consider it a conspiracy too. On the contrary when they give a Nobel Prize to one of our fellow citizens, we consider it a conspiracy as well. it is ridiculous. P.S. Khuda ka wasta hai kisi Pakistani ko tou leg pulling se bakhsish dy do Paksitanio, Please!

Why don't they give Nobel Prize to Abdul Sattar Eidi (who has helped thousands of orphans/widows/oppressed people), Benazir Bhutto(who sacrificed her life for the sake of democracy), and thousands of unknown heroes who are victims of terrorism but still they are serving this homeland in one way or the other. Lastly, we can endure her success, we have nothing to do with her awards. She has done nothing great. Her books etc are written by her father. |
