صورت شمع تیری بزم میں جلتے ہیں مگر
پھر بھی ہم رونق محفل نہیں ہو نےپاتے

soorat-e-shama teri bazm main jaltay hain magar
phir bhee hum ronaq-e-mehfil nahin honay patay

ان کے دل پر اس طرح تحریر ھونا تھا مجھے
آءینہ وہ خود بنیں ، تصویر ہونا تھا مجھے
کردشوں کے بعد آخر آپ ہم مل ہی گے
یہ بھی طے تھا آپ کی تقدیر ہونا تھا مجھے

Ye din ye raat ye lamhey mujhe acchey lagte hain.
Tumhen sochon to saare silsile acche lagte hain.
Boht door tak chalna magar phir b wohin tak rehna.
