Aab tu shehroon say khabar aati hai devanon ki
koi pehchaan he baki nahi veranon ki

subah hotay he nikal aatay hein bazar mein loug
gathriyaan sar pay uthaye howay imaanon ki

aapni poshaak say hushiyaar keh khudam e qadeem
dhajiyaan mangtay hein apnay garaibanon ki

saltanain phailtee jati hein magar iss kay sath
serhadain toot'ti jaati hein gulastanon ki

un ko kaya fikar mein par laga ya dooba
behas jo kartay rahay sahil pay tofanon ki
