Usay kis hawa nay bujha dia.
Kabhi lab hilain gay to poochna,
Sar'e shehr'e ehd'e wisaal'e dil,
Woh jo nikhaton ka hujoom tha,
Usay dast'e mauj'e firaaq nay,
Tahay khaak kab mila dia.
Ab kia kahain ab kia sunain.
Yonhi khuahishon kay fishaar main,
Kabhi bay sabab kabhi bay khabar,
Kahan kaun kis say bichar gaya,
Kisay kis nay ganwa dia.
Kabhi gul khilain gay to poochna.
Kabhi phir milain gay to poochna.
