ye lutf zindagi mein kaheen bhi na mil saka

ye kaif intezar kisse ne nahi dya

mein apne sath bhi koi lamha guzar loun

itna by akhtiyaar kisse ne nahi dya

mangta tha ek shaam rifafat bahaar mein

ek lamha bhi udhaar kisse ne nahi dya

mat ye samaj kisse ko judai ka gham na thaa

has kar ye din guzaar kise ne nahi dya

dukh bhi dya kisse ne magar saaari zindagi

sukh itna aitbaar kisse ne nahi dya
