Moom ka badan nah hota ya dhoop nah itni teez hoti
Ham to jhulas ke reh gaye koyi saaibaan hony tak

Ham hi kamfeham thy ya zindgi hi dushwaar thi
Intzaar mein ham reh gaye is ke aasaan hony tak

Koyi aisa dar milta keh jaan se hi guzar jaty
Ham to khud pathar rahy us but ke jaan hony tak

Umrr bhar tarasty rahy nazr-e-iltafaat ko
Ham kaheen ke nah rahy us ky mehrbaaN hony tak
