Wo gard-e-alam wo deda-e-nam
Ham jis mein chupa kar rakhtay thay
Tasveer bikharti yadon ki
Zanjeer bikhartay wadon ki
Pounjii nakam iradon ki
Ae taze hawa naraz na ho
Is dil mein salamat hai ab tak
Saman bicharti sayaton ka
Khuch tukray garam dopahron ke
Khuch razay naram sawalon ke
Khcuh durr anmole khayalon kay
Ik sacha roop haqiqat ka
Ik jhota lafz mohabbat ka.
