Khamosh lamhon mein tujh ko kitna pukaarna hai
Bata kay jao keh kitnay lamhay shumaar karne hein hijr raaton kay
Keh kitnay mousam aik aik kar kay judaiyoon mein guzaarnay hein
Bata kay jao keh panchiyoon ne akelay pan ka sabbab jo poocha
Tou kaya kahoon ga?
Bata kay jao main kis say tera gila karoon ga
Bichar kay tujh say habbib kis se mila karoon ga
Bata kay jao keh aankh barsi to kon moti chuna karay ga
Udaas lamhon mein dil ki dharkan suna karay ga
Bata kay jao keh mousamon ko payaam denay hein ya nahee hain
Falak ko, taron ko, jugnoo'on ko salam denay hein ya nahee hain
Bata kay jao keh kis pe hai aitebaar karna
To kis ki baaton pe be-niyazi kay silsale ikhtiyaar karna
