Nigah-e-yar k pardon mein hay pinha ada kesi,
sitam kaisa, karam kaisa, jafa kaisi, wafa kaisi,

ye to tufaan samandar hain ye sab hasti k manzar hain,
agar qismat mein jalna ho, dawa kaisi, dua kaisi,

sunay ga kon ab mujh se tere behroop k qissay,
mujhe bhi maar k kar di karam ki inteha kaisi,

agar dil haar hi bethay mere ham'dam mohabbat mein,
fana kaisi, baqa kaisi, saza kaisi, jaza kaisi,

bohat muddat se ham apnay muqabil se nahi haray,
bula k ham bhi dekhain gay k hay sham-e-qaza kaisi.
