puch lena tha kisi khak basar se pehle


ishq pehle bhi kiya hijr ka gam bhi dekha
itne tarpe hain na ghabraye na tarse pehle


ji bahalta hi nahin ab koi saat koi pal
rat dhalti hi nahin char pahar se pehle


ham kisi dar pe na thithak na kahin dastak di
saikaron dar the meri jan tere dar se pehle


chand se ankh mili ji ka ujala jaga
ham ko so bar hui subah sahar se pehle

ham gumnamon ne phir bhi ehsan na mana yaron ka


dard ka khna chikh utho dil ka taqaza waza nibhao
sab kuchh sehna chup chup rahna kam hai izzatdaron ka
