Jo sumai kay sath guzar gaien, wohii furstain mujay chahiayan

Kahee mill sakain too sumait laa, meray roz-o-shab kii kuhania
Jo ghubar-e-waqt main chup gaien wo huqaietain mujay chahiayan

Jo merii shaboun kay chiragh thay, jo merii umeed kay bagh thay
Wohii loag hain merii aarzu, wohii soortain mujay chahiayan

Terii qurbutain nhin chahiayan meray shaierii kay mizaaj koo
Mujay fasloun sai duwaam dai, terii furqutain mujay chahiayan

Mujay aur kuch nhi chahiay yai duaieay hain mera saieban
Karhii dhoop main kahien mil sakian to yahii chutain mujay chahiayan
