ranj-e-safar kii koi nishaanii to paas ho
thodi sii Khaak-e-kuuchaa-e-dilbar hii le chalein

ye kah ke chhairtii hain hamein dil-e-giraftagii
ghabaraa gaye hain aap to bahar hii le chalein

is shahar-e-becharaagh mein jaaye gii tuu kahaan
aa ai shab-e-firaaq tujhe ghar hii le chalein
