Akhri bar milo aisay keh jaltay huay dil
Rakh ho jain koi aur taqaza na karain
Chaak-e-wada na silay, Zakhm-e-tamanna na khulay
Saans hamwar rahay, shama ki lau tuk na hilay
Baatain bus itni keh lamhay unhain aa ker gin jaaen
Ankh uthaiy koi ummed to aankhain chin jaaen
Us mulaqat ka ab koi wehem nahin
Jis say aik aur mulaqat ki soorat niklay
Ab nahin jaanan junoon ka na hukayat ka waqt
Ab na tajdeed-e-wafa ka na shikayat ka waqt
Lut gaye shehr-e-hawadis main mata-e-alfaaz
Ab jo kehna hai to kesay koi noha kehyay
Aaj tak tum say rag-e-jaan kay kaiee rishtay thay
Kal say jo ho ga usay kaun sa rishta kehyay
Phir na daikhain aarz-o-rukhsaar milo
Matami hai dam-e-rukhsat, dar o dewaar milo
Phir na hum houn, na iqraar na inkaar milo
Akhri baar milo, akhri baar milo
