Ashfaq Ahmed (1925-2004) writer, playwright, broadcaster, intellectual and spiritualist from Pakistan, authored more than 20 books in Urdu. His works included novels, short stories and plays for television and radio. The government awarded Ashfaq Ahmed the Sitara-e-Imtiaz - the highest civilian award - in recognition of his contribution to Urdu literature. Inspired by Ashfaq Ahmed’s PTV Forum ‘Zavia’, in this book Ashfaq Ahmed, who wrote thought-provoking plays on social issues and was a great social reformer, using his vast knowledge of science, sprituality & different religions, has dwelt upon topics such as ‘Mayoosi (depression)’, ‘Insaan Ko Sharminda Na Kiya Jai’, ‘Dosti Aur Tash Kay Game’, ‘We don’t live in the present but in the future and in the past’ & many others.
