What is the difference b/w cssforum member and cssforum member friend?

What is the difference b/w a cssforum member and a cssforum member friend? Both have equal rights?

If you are referring to the people whom you have in your friends list then that has got nothing to do with being a "cssforum member" except that you can only add the person who is a member of forum in your list. Apart from this, there is absolutely nothing else. So the question about "rights" doesn't occur since friends are members of forum.

Some people have privacy option of e-mail contacts other members can't access his/her contact details whereas if someone is his/her friend then can access their mail contacts, rest of the rights are equal. Earlier there were other privileges as well but these are disabled by management due to some reasons.
