so this reputation thing means that when someone does not agree with your post he/she could lessen your reputation through a stroke. looks like kind of thought police to me. i have receieved negative points in a couple of threads simply because they did not adhere to the general philosophy of life of some people here.
Each time someone give you a positive rep, you gain one point. When you reach 100 points, you will have two green reputation dots and on and on. At the same time you gain a rep power of 4 points. Which means that each time you give positive rep to someone, the recipient will gain 4 points and same goes for the negative points.
I don't understand this system. Actually, my rep. points do not always increase by one point. Sometimes by two points, five points and recently it increased by nine points. Can you explain me how this happens?:con

It depends upon the reputation points of the member who gives u a red or green. You will get 9 points if I approve ur post; 5 or 6 points (if i m not wrong) by a member with 2 green blobs. An approval or disapproval by a very new member or by a member having zero post will give u nothing.

@ Predator

No matter whether one get the reputation point for off-topic discussion. It is treated similar to the other forum. Thus, It is added to reputation without discrimination of forum.

This is only to praise the efforts of a member.

Gray is simple, think green as good, red as bad and gray as something that don't effect you. You get gray if someone who has not got enough posts reps you. Gray does not effect your rep images and should be taken as a pinch of salt.

Plz go through FAQs; Post no 1.

Is there anyway to re-check the rep.points which I gave to other members? For example if I need to know to whom have I given RED/Green Points, What would I need to do? As I can check received repo. points in USER Ctrl.P, what about those which I gave?

What is the procedure?

My dear admins nd moderators,
Whenever I click on green bulb, it shows this message,
"Maroof Hussain Chishty is on a distinguished road"
though my total posts are above 180
And some times, when I read the posts of many other members, whose total posts are under 180 but when I click that member's single "green bulb", it shows this message,
"________will become famous soon enough".

How is this and May I know about this procedure please because I have searched but not found any question or answer relating this topic???:waiting:oo
sincerely,
