To minimize the current ambiguity on merit cut off/2nd phase, I would like to quote the statement of one of my friend Assistant Director in NAB selected in previous recruitment 2013 that is, " I am not sure of present policy. However, as per previous hiring almost all candidates were summoned for psychological and integrity test irrespective of merit who qualified the NTS exam. Because psychological test was only ' Yes or No ' and didn't add anything to the merit of candidates. After the psychological test the cut off was set i.e 65/70 as per rules/policy.

Called NTS today.

I called NTS today and complained about yellow wrong key, the representative said "some other people also have complained but I don't think so". All suffering candidates should also call NTS and register their complaint to make pressure on them to rectify the key if there is any fault in it.

Suppose there are 10 vacancies to fill and number of candidates is far more than that, then they will shortlist candidates with top score according to number of posts.. for 1 vacancy they will shortlist either 8 candidates or 5 candidates..

Hence if there are 10 seats then with 5 candidates per vacancy they will shortlist top 50 candidates and if it's 8 candidates per vacancy then top 80 candidates.

For AD NAB, For 7 merit vacancies( as for as I can guess they will shortlist 5 candidates per vacancy) Top 35 candidates,

For Punjab quota there are 25 vacancies, Top 125 candidates after Top 7 merit vacancies are filled.

For Sindh(Rural) 9 vacancies, top 45 candidates from Sindh(Rural).

For Sindh(Urban) 4 vacancies, top 20 candidates from Sindh(Urban).

and Similarly KPK(Top 35 candidates), Balochistan(Top 10 candidates), GB/FATA(Top 15 candidates) and AJK(Top 5 candidates) respectively.

and same goes for JIO and other posts..

Hope this confusion for passing criteria is resolved.

P.S: This info is based on my experience as well as experience of few other serving candidates.. However 5 candidates per vacancy is not confirmed but a guess and that depends on NTS's policy and NAB's direction to NTS.

Well, this policy is not applied where psychological exists in the recruitment process.Secondly, in the last recruitment, there was candidates in psychological who secured 52 marks but were called for psychological and some of them were allocated as well.
Similarly, there was also some candidates who secured 70 to 80 marks but dropped in the psychological, so,lets wait and watch and till then keep the finger crossed.

Regards..Stay Blessed

Nope. 50 or above is passing marks and all the candidates who got 50 or above will appear in psychological test. And after that the merit will be calculated written + psychological test and then they will call for interview. That was the previous policy, most probably it will be same now. Let c what nts do
