Expected Procedure After Recommendation List
Last month I was recommended for Inspector Inland Revenues, I have been through all the process and expecting posting order in first week of december! Alhamdullillah, I am recommended for AVO as well! Let me explain the procedure that FBR followed in case of IIRs as probably they will follow same procedure for AVOs as well.
1. FPSC will send Recommendation Letter within this week. 2. FPSC will send list of recommended candidates to FBR. 3. After receiving list, FBR will send us Medical Examination Letter in couple of weeks. 4. In response to Medical letters we will have to report to civil suregons of Federal Government Services Hospitals of federal and provincial candidates 5. After medical examination from respective hospitals, Civil surgeons will issue Provisional Medical Fitness certificate, that we shall have to send (original) to FBR's relevant person i.e. I think Qasim Khan Sect. Customs 6. Final Medical Fitness Certificate will be sent to FBR by Civil surgeon themselves. 7. After submission of Medical fitness certificates in given deadline, Offer letter will be issued after 3, or 4 days of deadline. 8. We shall be given 10-15 days to send Acceptance letter in response to Offer Letter mentioning our preferrances for priority posting stations. 9. After deadline for acceptance letters is over, Appointment orders shall be issued in a week or so. 10. In response to Appointment letter we will have to give joining at directed stations within given deadline. |

I am confused which one I should go for IIRs or AVOs: Help me out in this decision by comparing both jobs on following factors:
1. Overall compensation on both jobs including salary, allowances and performance incentives 2. Career Advancement and changing dynamics of both jobs including limitation of their powers and strict check on their activities. 3. Worth of Job in terms of Protocol and power 4. Work hours! Working conditions! 5. Vacations! Holidays! 6. Lifestyle! Expecting insightful and meaningful replies from respected members to help me out in this choice. |

Thank you Ismail for explaining this process comprehensively. Your point no 8,9, and 10 imply that there will be no training for this post, and recommended candidates will join at directed stations. Means no training scene? |
