It is mostly regarding the tricky question. for example you will appear in the test for lab technician of computer lab then you are asked about networking and data communication and all relevant question........

my department is Metallurgy and materials Engineering.I have given lecturer test in mehran university.will the test pattern be the same as lecturer test or different?

Almost same, but easy in some sort. like lecturer ship test is covering all the areas of your subject specialties and lab technician will only cover technical aspect of your subject, because as a lab technician you do not need to focus on theoretical aspect of your field... so that cover technical and tricky topics only...
