Pilot officer, flying officer and flight lieutenant all are BPS-17.
If you dont mind to see yourself as squadron leader (major) at age of 35+ then its ok go for it.

But if promotions and career progress matters for you along with some ego then its a no go. Would you feel great that you being a graduate(16years of education) has same rank as that of one with 12 years education?

Navy and army gives 3 star rank to spssc (ssc) graduates while PAF used to give 2 star. Now they have downgraded even more to one star rank.

Thank you and many more like you for letting PAF exploit the fact i.e youth needs jobs, why bother giving what they are worth when this youth is gonna come running to lesser ranks any way? Good marketing tactic by a prestigious organization

Every Government department has almost same story. One of my friend's relative (grade 17 engineer) was in WAPDA and he got promoted to BPS 18 after 15 years.

And my another friend whose uncle was statical officer in Sindh Government never got promoted. He is retired now.

I do not know about stars. How star matters?

Do you know cutoff marks of Intelligence and Academic Test?

you have to score as much as you can ! for IQ passing marks 50 or 60 and i have no idea about academic marks of A&SD Branch !

one star=Pilot Officer
two stars=Flying Officer
three stars=Flying Lieutenant and so on !

every organization has rules and regulations buddy ! yeah agree that Army and Navy offers high rank on short commission but 17 grid is still enough for anyone to join it alongside other benefits specially in Pakistan Air Force ! like for me, if i am 17 grade till retirement, still i will be happy because i will proud on myself that i served for one of the best or rather the Best Air Force in the world !

i was twice rejected by issb but that time i was just fsc pass. now i have applied for legal side on the basis of llb. am i eligible for that post?
