no it's a long course ! the difference is that in long course, only students of intermediate of O Level can apply and then have 2 years training and then 2nd Lieutenant rank while in Graduate course, students of BA, BSc can apply and go through one year training and then ranked 2nd Lieutenant !!

Of what benefit is it to a degree holder to join as a 2nd lieutenant, the same as intermediate pass students do. They should have given some advantage to the candidates who chose to study for four further years after intermediate to do some value addition to their self. If you think of it, those of your class fellows who joined after inter, will be your seniors now, even though you have better qualification than them.

that's the irony of PAF as well. For last 2 years, PAF is giving pilot officer (one star) to spssc graduates. i.e one with 12 year education and 16 year education has same rank.

Navy and army on the other hand are giving 3 stars rank. In this graduate course, i guess its good for those who have 14year education but for 16year, they should be given lieutenant at least
