Equivalance
Those among us who qualify Psychological, shall we have to produce Equivalence from HEC in case of BS Hons/MBBS/Pharm D etc. on the analogy of AD FIA Case#111, Pre-Selected list. Please guide the procedure for equivalence?

Sir @sabir and sir @tassawur. Can you tell if the interviews will be conducted after the phycological process conclude in Quetta in May or will it start in centres separately where the test has already been conducted?
e.g. candidates in Islamabad are done with their phycological testing will they be having their interviews starting next month? |

Sir @aliraza I don't think so. They would have asked for it when we were submitting the documents before the descriptive test.

And Sir @tassawur and Sir @sabir there is no written or phycological testing for the AD FIA test. As far as I know but in our case we are going through the process and now will wait for final Interview. Why was it so?
I think AD FIA is far more powerful and lucrative post than this one. Then why selection process consists of several stages for this one. Same should have been followed for AD FIA. |

On lighter note: those who are thinking that AD IB is powerful post and will have many benefits this perception is wrong. As far as I have researched the situation is very bleak for starting and mid level officers 17 and 18 grade.
No official car no official residence. No special perks (although 20% extra basic pay which is Rs.3956 is there). Many have left it for PMS and other better paying options. The role is more like a investigative journalist and big cities they need to keep ties with journalists to keep themselves abreast of developments. In smaller districts they have to keep good relations with local police and informants. High profile cases are dealt by ISI which see the civilian agency with discourtesy. |

Ask all of these questions when you have the offer letter in your hand. There are many things about the IB we are not aware of. Even if your acquaintance is in the IB, he/she will not tell you much. My only advice is to read the "Joining guidelines for AD IB qualifiers". The officer who wrote that post did so having been allocated to a CSS group and he was leaving for CTP. He termed the IB a prestigious organization and said being selected as AD IB is an achievement. This is enough for me.
You can either focus on the remaining challenges ahead of you, or you can count your chickens before they hatch. Good luck to all. |
